Leadership Lit TED Talk
Leadership Lit is the Wake Forest Chamber's business book club, now with a TED Talk component! This month we'll be watching a TED Talk then enjoying a riveting discussion with your peers. Join us at 11:30 am for the viewing, then stay from 12 - 1:00 pm to discuss. You may also watch the TED Talk at your leisure and then just come for the discussion at noon.
This month our featured TED Talk is by Kelly McGonigal and is entitled "How to make stress your friend." Stress makes your heart pound, your breathing quicken, and your forehead sweat. But while stress has been made into a public health enemy, new research suggests that stress may only be bad for you if you believe that to be the case. Psychologist Kelly McGonigal urges us to see stress as a positive, and introduces us to an unsung mechanism for stress reduction: reaching out to others.
